Alleviating Social Distress through
Companion Animal Therapy
At HCAW, we offer a highly popular Companion Animal Therapy Program to the community. The psychological benefits to participants from such programs are well documented and include alleviating social distress, providing outlets for emotional expression, building confidence, encouraging interaction with the larger environment, companionship, and compassion.
Groups already benefiting from HCAW’s Companion Animal Therapy are orphans, the physically and mentally challenged, the socially abused, the deaf and mute and victims of family violence.
You are very welcome to contact us if you would like to organise a visit to HCAW for any special needs group.
